Officers with Durham Regional Police have arrested a 23-year-old man after two young children were found wandering outside an Oshawa home in a state of “complete squalor” over the weekend.
Police say the incident happened outside a residence on Phillip Murray Avenue Sunday morning.
Officers found a one and two-year-old on the street while a 3 year old child just exiting the home.
Police say the children were barely dressed, with one of them wearing only a diaper.
Police found the father sleeping on the couch inside and was arrested.
Police allege the home had little food and was unfit for children.
The three children are now with Children’s Aid Society.
