An 18-year-old man has been charged after a homeowner in Uxbridge, Ont., came across a naked intruder.
Police responded to the residence on Second Avenue in Uxbridge at around 12:15 p.m. on Monday after the owner arrived home to find a naked man inside.
Once the resident spotted the man, police say he ran out a back door and into a wooded area.
The Durham Regional Police Service K-9 unit then located the male hiding in some tall grass beside a nearby pond a short time later and arrested him without further incident.
Further investigation then revealed that the man had used the victim’s shower, ate from food trays and ransacked bedrooms while inside the home. The man was also spotted by a neighbor swimming naked in the home’s pool, according to police.
Police say that they believe alcohol and drugs were a factor.
Parker Reilly, 18, is charged with one count of break and enter and has been released on an undertaking.
