Planes Collide : Pilots survive mid-air plane crash near Bashaw

Two men hurt when small planes collide in mid-air, Mounties responded to the crash about ten kilometres northwest of Bashaw, in east-central Alberta, around 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

One of the small planes crashed into a field, while the other landed safely. A 47-year-old man was taken by STARS air ambulance to an Edmonton hospital with a severe leg injury.

The other pilot suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene.
