A massive and urgent search is continuing in western Manitoba for a toddler who’s been missing since Tuesday evening.
Mounties say their only priority right now is to find Chase Martens.
Chase was last seen playing at 6 p.m. Tuesday night outside his home in the Austin area, where temperatures dropped to -12 C overnight.
He was wearing a blue jacket, black splash pants, a red hat and boots that light up as he walks.
Sgt. Bert Paquet says the search for Chase includes more than 300 volunteers and officers, firefighters, police dogs, the Winnipeg police department’s helicopter and an RCMP plane.
Paquet says they are looking for “anything and everything” that may lead to the little boy.
The RCMP said investigators have spoken with Chase’s parents and are asking the public for tips. Despite their efforts the little boy’s whereabouts remains a mystery.
