A man is facing charges for having false licence plates on his car after being pulled over by police in St. John’s Saturday afternoon.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary pulled over the car in question Saturday afternoon in the capital city. Tickets were issued to a 33-year-old man for driving without either a licence or insurance and using false plates.
According to the overnight report, the accused also owes more than $24,000 in fines. He remained in custody overnight prior to Sunday’s appearance in court.
