Suspect arrested after stabbing at Air Canada operations centre in Brampton

A man is in critical condition and a suspect in is custody after a stabbing inside the Air Canada operations centre on Wednesday.

Authorities were called to the scene on Ironbridge Road, northwest of Mississauga Road and Highway 407 at around 10.p.m.

The building was placed in under a hold and secure order for a time as police searched for the suspect.

Tactical and Canine units were deployed to the scene with Peel Police confirming in a tweet shortly after 11.p.m. that an arrest had been made off site and that the office building had been made safe.

They also confirmed that the stabbing victim is in what they describe as a critical condition at a Toronto hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
