A 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Friday morning in the city’s River Heights neighbourhood, police say.
The victim told police she’d just been dropped off near Niagara Street and Kingsway around 2:30 a.m. when an unknown man ran up to her and sexually assaulted her.
She said the suspect fled the scene on a small, dark coloured BMX bike.
The suspect is white with pale skin, 25-35 years old, 5’4” tall, with a thin to medium build. He has thin lips, pointy nose and chin, dark blonde to strawberry blonde facial hair, and a possible goatee.
The investigation is continuing by members of the West District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
