Regina police used a taser and the canine unit to finally arrest man who ran early Monday morning after officers tried to pull over a vehicle that went through a four-way stop.
We are being told just before 2 AM, police observed a vehicle that did not stop at a four way stop at Pasqua and 7th Avenue. They turned on their lights and when they did so, the driver sped away.
The vehicle was found a short distance later, but the man was not with the car. The canine unit was called in and suspects were found.
The 30 year old man was told to stop as he approached the officer and when he didn’t the weapon was used. It had little effect on the man, but he was captured with help of the canine unit shortly after.
30 year old Bruce Guenther is making his first court appearance this afternoon facing various charges. Another man—28 year old Calvin Nagy—has also been charged, but won’t have a court date until December.
