A Toronto mother issued an emotional plea for help on Tuesday after a laptop containing thousands of photos and videos of the two children she lost to a degenerative disease was stolen from her parked car.
“I want to appeal to them to please come forward and do the right thing,” he said, inviting Wilson to personally tell her story.
“We’re a special needs family,” said Wilson. She said that she wanted to share the challenges and the blessings of having two children with high special needs with her documentary.
Wilson was having breakfast with her surviving son Jarrett Gill on Saturday morning between 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. in the St. Clair Ave. W. and Dufferin St. area when someone stole the bag containing her laptop and external hard drive from inside her parked car.
The car is a black, four-door 2012 Buick Verano and it was parked on the north side of St. Clair Ave. W. near the restaurant. She describes the stolen bag as being made of silver, woven fabric.
“I get how people do things for reasons maybe other people can’t understand, but anyone who knew what was on [the laptop and hard drive] would want to return the data,” she told the Star on Monday. “I would thank them immensely.”
