A TTC driver turned himself in to Toronto police Friday morning and he is now facing charges in connection with the hit-and-run death of a Scarborough teen late last year.
It’s alleged a 14-year-old was crossing in the Neilson Rd. and Finch Ave. East area, when a bus driver was attempting to make a turn and struck the girl.
Amaria Diljohn was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dhanbir Shergill, 28, of Bowmanville, has been charged with Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and Fail to stop at the scene of an accident.
He is scheduled to appear in court Friday, March 20, 2015, 10 a.m.
