Two men were taken to hospital in critical condition after collapsing near the finish line of Scotiabank’s Toronto Waterfront Marathon Sunday.
Paramedics were called to Bay and Albert Sts. just after 11 a.m after a 40-year-old man fell during the race.
“The man collapsed near the finish line. He was found without vital signs. Paramedics managed to get a pulse and he was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition,” Dave Viljak, of Toronto Paramedic Services, said.
Another man in his 20s collapsed just after 1 p.m. and was also taken to hospital.
