US : Enhanced Ebola screenings begin at JFK

Enhanced passenger screening for signs of the Ebola virus has begun at JFK International Airport in New York. Passengers arriving from West Africa will have their temperatures taken with no-touch thermometers. They will also be required to fill out a questionnaire from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention upon landing.

A boy was hospitalized Friday following a fall of at least 15 feet into a “Big Cat” exhibit at the Little Rock Zoo in Arkansas. According to reports, a family member was holding the 3-year-old on a railing when he fell. The boy sustained injuries from both the fall and from two jaguars.
