The world famous American singer, 73-year-old Tina Turner, said in a statement carried out by Blick respected newspapers in Switzerland, reported that American citizenship to leave.
Back to 57-year-old Erwin Swiss citizenship last year, was married to the artist. Switzerland for accepting dual citizenship, without any problem, Tina Turner, now devoid of significance for American citizenship itself, and therefore announced the allocation of U.S. citizenship.
Turner, who is 73, has been residing in Switzerland for two decades. She became a Swiss citizen in April of this year. She married her long-term boyfriend Erwin Bach, a German producer, in July.
Clearly, her life is abroad.
Before you get all patriotic and diss Turner’s choice, realize that she is not “renouncing” her citizenship in a negative way. She is just relinquishing it and letting it go.
However, the end result is the same. She is no longer a U.S. citizen no matter how she parted ways with the status.
