NBC and Time Inc. have announced a new partnership to host a two-hour TV special to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit franchise. Fans will be able to tune in on February 3rd at 9 p.m. ET/PT to catch Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful.
Hosted by always-gorgeous Heidi Klum, she rocked it in a beautiful short black leather dress. Her humor was spot on and she even demonstrated how easy it was to be a model, stepping onto a make-shift tiny island with a team of make-up artist and camera man too. There were many models in the audience, like Kate Upton, Tyra Banks, Cheryl Tiegs, Rebecca Romijn, and Kathy Ireland.
The anniversary celebration was a first class show with musical guest star, Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, John Legend, Enrique Iglesias, and The Fray.
While Klum brought the color for the evening in her red hot leather, Upton was sleek and fabulous in her verrrry low cut Antonio Berardi gown. Tyra, the first black woman to don the Sports Illustrated pages, was glamorous in her corset and lace number.
Though it was very hard to hear the announcing of the models, the event was wonderful and so much fun to see the ageless and timeless women along side the lovely young beauties following in their footsteps.
