The dinos are back.
The Calgary Zoo is bringing gigantic, fleshly, roaring dinosaur models to the Prehistoric Park in March 2015.
“These massive machines that mimic dinosaur behaviour will literally breathe new life into Prehistoric Park,” Lindsey Galloway, communications director at the Calgary Zoo, said in a release.
The creatures look and sound like dinosaurs. They can move, they roar and can be controlled by the push of a button. Park goers can be assured to have a good time enjoying the fleshy beings safely – unlike real dinosaurs these are engineered to run off electricity instead of human or dinosaur flesh.
“We’ve taken what everyone loved about the area and made it better,” said Roz Freeman, special events advisor for the zoo. “We’ve increased our programming space and efforts to educate our visitors on how we learn about dinosaurs and the role they played in the Alberta Badlands.
The Prehistoric Park will remain closed to prepare for the arrival of the animatronic dinosaurs.
