A Massachusetts man captured helicopter footage of a large group of seals resting on the shore of a beach in Cape Cod.
The pilot says the video is causing quite a stir on social media, and raising concerns about the seal population.
Gray, harp, ringed, and hooded seals often hang around Cape Cod, according to the Center for Coastal Studies based in Provincetown.
Aaron Knight, who has been a pilot for 10 years, sometimes takes family and friends with him to fly over the coast and see the seals.
“It’s a neat attraction to fly around and check them out, but now it’s scary,” he said.
The seals are a favorite food for great white sharks, which have also been spotted in the area.
“It’s a continuous blubber buffet for the great whites,” said Knight.
The video has only been up on Facebook for a little over a day, but it has been viewed more than 240,000 times.

I am an animal lover (not so much for the human species though) and can only hope that these seals will be safe from any and all harm that the human species inflicts upon other animals. IMHO, the human species is the worst kind of animal ever.
