Florida beachgoers flee from water after spotting sharks near shore? Holidaymakers were enjoying the sunshine at Jacksonville Beach, shortly before 3pm when someone noticed a shark fin in the shallow water.

They warned the other holidaymakers who ran out of the water.

After the initial frenzy, swimmers went back to the edge of the water to take photos – then spotted another shark fin near Jacksonville Pier, believed to be a second shark.

No one reported to have been injured.

Admir Osmanovic told news station News4Jax: ““I was playing soccer, and then I saw everybody just stop, looking, and I’m like, ‘What’s everybody looking at?’

“And then I turn around and I see just everybody running, and there’s a shark. It’s about a 6-foot shark.”

He said it was the first time he’d ever seeing a shark in Jacksonville and everyone was curious.

“Instead of everybody running away, everybody is coming to the water, we’re checking it out, we’re pretty close to it. It was pretty cool, you know,” he added.
