SpaceX now to attempt launch on Tuesday, Report

SpaceX has announced that it will make a third attempt to launch commercial satellites from Cape Canaveral on June 24, after putting off its scheduled attempt on June 22.

Officials said they needed to address a potential concern identified during pre-flight checks.

The launch was scrubbed Saturday due to bad weather.

The rocket was originally supposed to launch Friday evening, but was scrubbed shortly before its 7 p.m. launch time because of technical problems.

The new launch window was set for Saturday starting at 5:46 p.m., but was pushed pack to 6:39 p.m. due to weather and then eventually canceled.

In a rare move the launch was not scheduled to be broadcast to the media or public.

SpaceX officials said broadcasting the launches has become too routine and that the full webcast is no longer appropriate.

When it does launch, the rocket will carry six commercial satellites into orbit.

Officials said they will keep the rocket on the launch pad and hope to try again on Tuesday.
