A minor league baseball player is nursing a big bruise after he was hit in the face with a 90 mph fastball.
Delino DeShields Jr. tweeted out some photos showing himself giving a thumbs up next to his severely swollen cheek. According to MBL.com, DeShields suffered a broken cheekbone.

“To anyone that is concerned as you can see I’m doing fantastic! Blessed to see another day!” he said in the tweet.
DeShields, hitting .259 with two homers and four RBIs, is the Class AA Corpus Christi Hooks starting center fielder, the Chron reports.
