Jenny Dell Red Sox reporter reassigned

Jenny Dell, who has worked for the last two years as sideline reporter for Red Sox games on NESN, will not be back in the job this season.

According to a number of internet reports, Dell, NESN’s popular sideline reporter during Red Sox broadcasts, will be reassigned within the network.

A Boston Herald report confirms the move with a statement from the team’s cable flagship that says the network is seeking a replacement.

What had been rumored through the season was apparently confirmed when Middlebrooks tweeted out a photo to his 100,000-plus followers of he and Dell together on New Year’s Eve with the message: “Happy New Year from us to you! Here’s to a great 2014!”
