Amanda Bynes : Actress Denies Being Schizophrenic

People reports that Amanda Bynes’ lawyer Tamar Arminak has denied rumors that she has schizophrenia on her behalf. After she was hospitalized last July for her behavior, there had been rumors she was schizophrenic and bipolar. She recently tweeted photos of herself on April 5 appearing to be happy while on vacation with her parents in Los Cabos, Mexico.

“Amanda has no mental illness whatsoever,” said Lynne in an interview with E! News. “She has never been diagnosed as schizophrenic or bipolar.”

In 2013, all eyes were on Amanda due to acts like calling some of her fellow celebrities “ugly” on Twitter, getting charged with a DUI, and lighting a Los Angeles driveway on fire.

After being hospitalized, Amanda was placed under her parent’s care.

Apologizing for her daughter’s actions in the past, Lynn faults Amanda’s previous use of marijuana.

“[Amanda] is very sorry for all the hurtful tweets, statements and actions that occurred while she was under the influence of marijuana,” she said.

Siding with Lynn, Amanda’s lawyer Tamar Arminak also denied any mental issues.

“Amanda does not have schizophrenia,” said the attorney. “Amanda currently is on zero medication. She’s devoted to living her life as healthy as possible,” he continued.

Arminak included that the 28-year-old star is marijuana free.

While having outpatient therapy several times a week, Amanda is looking toward the future by taking classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise.

“She hopes to one day design her own line,” said Arminak. “Her primary focus is binding with her family and being a fashion student.”
