Arthur Neal, Missing 86-year-old Detroit lottery winner found dead in a vacant home on Sunday, police said.
Arthur Neal had been missing since Dec. 20, when he was last seen at his home on Trinity.
Detroit police spokesman Officer Adam Madera said today that Neal’s body was found Sunday in the basement of a vacant home in the 15800 block of Mansfield. He said Neal’s body had been covered.
A spokesman for the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office said he suffered multiple stab wounds.
Madera said police have not been able to confirm whether anyone with Neal’s name won a lottery game or cashed a ticket in his name.
He said Neal’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
