Baby girl dies in hot car as mom teaches inside Florida school.
An 18-month-old girl has died in the US after being left inside a car in 28C heat while her teacher mother went to work.
Primary school teacher Jamie Buckley left her daughter Reagan on the back seat before 7.30am and only returned after the school day in the afternoon on Tuesday, police said.
The toddler was not breathing when officers arrived at Cedar Grove Elementary school in Panama City, Florida, where temperatures reached about 28C according to the Washington Post.
Police were called at about 3.15pm and the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Facebook, Bay County Sheriff’s Office said “preliminary investigation” suggested Ms Buckley “forgot the child in the car”.
The statement added: “When she went to her car to leave after school she found the child, Reagan Buckley, still in her car seat.
“The body has been turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation continues.”

RIP in peace little one. This is happening enough that it is obvious that employers must try to enforce all parents to check their cars at lunch time or have a car alarm if there is still weight in the car seat when the car is locked.
im sorry, but this is INSANE…there is NO WAY possible that someone can “forget” their cihild is still in the car!..i don’t buy it and there isn’t one argument that can be presented to convince me otherwise! NONE….employers should not have to remind people to check their cars! what a horrible death for this beautiful child…and the parent is DIRECTLY responsible, period.
