After six weeks of love, laughter, fighting, tears, and scandalous text messages (!!!) this season’s Bachelor in Paradise extravaganza has drawn to an appropriately-emotional conclusion. There was an engagement!
On Monday night’s season finale, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert “found love” and took their “connection” to the next level: an engagement!
Tanner (a castoff from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s “Bachelorette” season), proposed to Jade (the “wild mustang” from Chris Soules’ “Bachelor” season), on the beach.
“I can’t give you this rose today,” Tanner told a worried Jade, before adding, “What we have is worth is so much more than a rose — than a million roses — I love you, Jade, and I want to keep on loving you for the rest of my entire life.”
The 28-year-old Tanner got down on one knee and presented Jade with a 2-carat Neil Lane diamond engagement ring.
Jade told her now-fiance, “You make me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, and worthy, and understood, which I don’t think I’ve ever felt from a man before, and I think even though paradise is ending, I have a sense of peace about it because we both want to work on a future together.”
Following the show, Jade and Tanner stopped by “After Paradise,” and confirmed they are engaged for “real real.”
