Bear Asleep In Pizza Shop? A high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was nearly put on lockdown Monday after someone spotted a bear cub roaming near the school — the but bear was far more interested the wondrous smells coming from Louie’s Pizza and invited itself inside, where the bear then decided to take a nap.
The sleepy baby brown bear was discovered by staff members rummaging through the stock room.
The pizza restaurant was closed down for three hours while the bear napped in the back room and animal welfare officials were called.
The little bear was found to be very underweight and also had a broken foot, the Colorado Spring Gazette reports.
The bear cub is now recovering in an animal rehab facility and will be relocated once he has healed.
