Beyonce, Jay Z skip Kimye Wedding For Hamptons Weekend

Well, it’s official. Beyonce and Jay Z decided not to attend Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding in Florence, Italy. Instead, they opted for a beach weekend in New York. But why?

Beyonce, 32, and Jay Z, 44, were not in attendance as Kim Kardashian, 33, and Kanye West, 36 professed their undying love to each other on Saturday, May 24.

The ‘Holy Grail’ hitmaker, who was expected to be his close friend and collaborator’s best man, reportedly decided to spend the weekend with his wife in The Hamptons, New York, in favor of attending the rapper’s nuptials to Kim Kardashian, 33, in Florence, Italy today (05.24.14).

Sources told UsMagazine.com that Jay, 44, bailed on the couple’s wedding at the Forte di Belvedere at the last minute, as he wanted to enjoy a quiet Memorial Day holiday weekend with Beyoncé and their two-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
