BlackBerry ‘Mercury’ Spotted On Geekbench, Report

BlackBerry appears to be up to speed when it comes to releasing new Android smartphones. Since releasing the PRIV and DTEK50, the Canadian company reportedly worked on a new smartphone, which is now called the DTEK60.

Just this Monday, however, new information has surfaced, revealing that Apple’s former greatest rival is working on another Android hardware.

Now there have been some rumblings that BlackBerry might still have a device or two up their sleeves and one of those devices is known as “Mercury”, and thanks to a recent sighting on Geekbench, some of the device’s specs have surfaced, although from what we can tell it doesn’t seem like a particularly high-end device.

According to the specs, the Mercury will come with 3GB of RAM and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. It also appears to come with Android 7.0 Nougat preinstalled which we guess is a good thing. Other than that we’re not sure what we’re looking at in terms of design or the camera department.
In any case word has it that the phone is expected to be launched by the end of the year, and considering we’re already mid-October, we probably won’t have to wait much longer to see what BlackBerry might have for us.
