Your brain might be slowing down a bit sooner than you think.
A new study suggests some people’s cognitive motor skills begin to slowly diminish after the age of 24. Canadian researchers gathered data from a group of more than 3000 players as they played a fast-moving computer game.
Researchers had people play a video game, Star-craft Two, in order to test their reaction time. They looked into the gamers’ performance, and found those in their early twenties were quicker than those in their late twenties.
However, it’s not all bad news for the older crowd. The same study found while their performance was slower, older people were craftier and replaced speed with strategy.
