Britney Spears: Star suffers concert mishap (Video)

Pop star Britney Spears has kicked off 2016 by having a clumsy little mishap.

Singer Britney Spears was literally stuck atop a tree after suffering a stage malfunction during her concert on Saturday.

The 34-year-old pop star is currently performing shows as part of her Las Vegas residency series Britney: Piece of Me and when she graced the stage over the weekend, Britney found herself stuck to a tree while singing her hit song Toxic.

Fortunately the entertainer was able to keep it professional, dancing and singing while a stagehand unhitched her from a harness that broke down. When functioning properly the harness attached to her body allows Britney to fly over members of the audience, but due to the mechanism failing she had to stay rooted to the tree.

When she was released from the harness by the stagehand, Britney walked down some stairs attached to the tree prop and continued the show.

The entire incident was captured in video footage obtained by TMZ.

“Good morning 2016! Don’t mind the little bruise on my forehead… Ran into a pole,” she added in the photo’s caption.

Meanwhile Britney has plenty of things to keep her focused as the year unfolds, including new music.
