A young Bruce Springsteen fan may have had the best late note a kid could get.

A nine-year-old’s dream came true last week when he not only got to see his idol Bruce Springsteen in concert AND mitch his morning classes, but got a personalised late note from Bruce himself.

Xabi Glovsky attended Bruce’s LA concert on Tuesday and went equipped with a sign that said:

“Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note. :)”

He managed to get Bruce’s attention, and after the show, Bruce did just that.

Xabi’s dad Scott told The Claremont Courier:

“Although there were many musicians and celebrities at the concert, we were the first people to see him after the show.

“Bruce said ‘There’s the big guy’ to my son.”

His Dad described how Bruce sat next to his son on the couch and wrote:

“Dear Ms. Jackson, Xabi has been out very late rocking & rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy.”

Scott added:

“I imagine that idols rarely live up to your expectations,” Scott said. “Bruce lived up to every expectation a 9-year-old boy could have — or a 48-year-old boy could have.”

Legend.
