Buzz Aldrin: Like Tragic Robin Williams, I Also Suffer From Depression, Report

Apollo 11 moonwalker Buzz Aldrin paid his respects to comedian Robin Williams today with a post on Facebook.

“The loss of @robinwilliams is tragic. Like him, I also & many veterans also suffer from depression” the 84-year-old revealed via his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.

“All Americans should awaken to this.”

Aldrin revealed his struggles with alcoholism and depression in his 2010 memoir Magnificent Desolation: The Long Journey Home From The Moon.

63-year-old Williams committed suicide in his Tiburon, California home on Monday. His reps told the media he had been battling “severe depression” in recent months.
