Activision and Infinity Ward showcase the first campaign footage of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare during Sony’s E3 2016 press conference.
Activision had already confirmed to fans that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered footage would be making its way to E3 2016, but that didn’t make it any less exciting when the on-stage screens switched from the space-based combat of Infinite Warfare over to the memorable sniper mission in Pripyat. Fans in the crowd were evidently excited to see more footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and with good reason.
Sony’s exciting E3 2016 lineup brings plenty of nostalgia for veteran gamers, as the company is also bringing back remastered games from the Crash Bandicoot franchise. While some may raise legitimate concerns that nostalgia isn’t good for the gaming industry, we can’t help but want to replay the Pripyat mission all over again, or clear the boat in Crew Expendable. Modern Warfare was one of the best games of its time, although not all gamers think the remaster should come bundled with Infinite Warfare.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide on November 4.
