Carrie Underwood showed up on The View this morning to talk about her upcoming CMA hosting gig and also revealed some details about her pregnancy, including her due date and what she’s most nervous about in being a first-time mother.
Asked about any concerns she has about welcoming her first child, Carrie added: “Just being responsible for a tiny human.”
The star announced she was expecting just last month, and recently admitted she’s coped better than she thought she would carrying her baby.
“I feel really good,” she said during the interview on CMT Hot 20 Countdown earlier this month. “I think I’ve been really lucky in my symptoms thus far.”
The Blown Away hitmaker and her hockey player husband married in 2010, two years after they met.
Carrie recently opened up about her desire to become a mother, sharing that she would love to have at least “two” kids.
“Three is fine. Four? Somebody’s getting something done, because we ain’t having five!” she laughed to America’s Self magazine.
Shortly after her wedding, she also opened up about the experience of growing up in a house full of girls, and how being the youngest meant she didn’t have much experience caring for children. She’s optimistic, however, that her maternal instincts will kick in.
“I didn’t grow up around kids, and I hope those motherly instincts are in me,” she told InStyle magazine. “I’m sure they are, but I don’t know what to talk about with a four-year-old!”
