CFIA issues warning over baby formula bottles, Report

The Canadian Found Inspection Agency is advising all of those who shop for baby formula at Walmart stores west of Toronto to be on high alert.

Several complaints were made about bottles of Enfamil A+ Ready to Feed Formula after the seal was broken and blue tape was applied instead.

The CFIA said Walmart immediately removed the product from sale in a number of stores in the Halton and Peel regions and further investigations revealed no additional products were altered.

As a precaution, CFIA advises consumers to examine containers and make sure the security seal has not been tampered with.

Walmart Canada Corporation and Mead Johnson Nutrition are working closely with the CFIA to investigate the matter, according to the advisory.
