The body of a woman who had been missing for several days was discovered naked and covered in blood behind a warehouse in South Philadelphia Sunday afternoon.
The victim was identified by relatives as Crystal Goodwin, but police have yet to confirm this information, only describing her as a white female between the ages of 35 and 40.
CBS3 Eyewitness News spoke to a man who was dropped off at the scene in a police cruiser. He said homeless people often sleep in the area, and that when he saw the body and realized she was dead, he called police. He added she had a large wound near her ribs.
A nearby business told CBS3 that police are reviewing its surveillance video in hopes of finding leads in the case as the investigation continues.
So far, there is no suspect or motive, but investigators are treating the case as a homicide.
