Daryl Bhandal who died on holiday in Tenerife after being injured in a brawl at his hotel was today described by his friends as a “brilliant father”.
Daryl Bhandal, 36, was killed on Friday night at a hotel in the Puerto de Santiago resort, according to the Evening Standard.
Tributes have been paid to the former Woolwich Polytechnic School pupil on social media.
Richard Specter wrote: “R.I.P Daryl Bhandal. Absolute pleasure knowing you!
“Top bloke and a brilliant father. I know a lot of us are still in shock and rightfully so.
“And for everyone paying tributes I’m sure it’ll be a huge comfort to his family to know he’ll be missed by so many people. Sleep tight big guy”
Brad Mulock wrote on Facebook: “Unbelievable. Totally and utterly unbelievable. RIP mate.”
Another friend said: “I am so sorry to hear the sad news, my thoughts and prays [sic] are with you and your family. RIP.”
The Evening Standard reported that two British tourists, said to have been involved in the altercation, have been arrested.
