Drake and Rihanna have been getting quite cute and cozy lately: holding hands, going out on dinner dates while jetsetting around the world for his tour, wearing similar clothes, and just being spotted having fun together. Rihanna isn’t the type to share her emotions when it comes to her relationships, but Drake has no problem keeping it 100.
In the song, Drake raps about a rekindled romance with someone: ”Back up in this thang, it’s a go/ Had a couple ni–as out of pocket, now they know/ Ain’t the first time ’cause I lost you before/ Had to get it back,” Drake raps.
“Waitin’ on you to give in and hit me up/So I could fall through like old times and hit it up,” he says elsewhere on the track.
The song even includes background vocals pulled directly from Rihanna’s song “Stay.”
Is it safe to say that Drake is alluding to his romance with Rihanna?
No word yet on if both ”Draft Day” and “Days in the East” will appear on a future album, but according to Billboard, when he let loose the latter track while in the U.K., he announced that he has a new album in the works.
