Dumpster Boy’s Brother : Body of Missing 5-Year-Old Boy Found in Elkhorn River in Omaha

Missing Boy Found Dead, Brother Found Alive In Dumpster.

Authorities say they’ve found the body of a 5-year-old boy whose adult brother is charged in the killing of their mother and whose younger brother was found alive in a dumpster.

A message posted on the Omaha Police Department Facebook page said rescue personnel had found the body, believed to be Josue Ramirez-Marinero, on the east bank of the Elkhorn River, west of Omaha, on Monday.

It read: “It is believed that the body is Josue Ramirez-Marinero, however, investigators await forensic identification to confirm the identity of the child.”

Prosecutors have said they plan to seek the death penalty against Roberto Martinez-Marinero.

The 25-year-old surrendered to police on Thursday and admitted fatally stabbing his mother, 45-year-old Jesus Ismenia-Marinero.

He also said he had thrown Josue into the Elkhorn River and abandoned his youngest brother, 11-month-old Angel Ramirez-Marinero, in a dumpster.

Angel was found bruised but alive last Wednesday in La Vista after a man heard what he thought was an animal making noises in a dumpster.

His mother’s body was found on Wednesday night in a ditch in southeast Omaha.

Douglas County attorney Don Kleine said Ms Ismenia-Marinero had been stabbed several times and had been hit on the head with a baseball bat.

Authorities have been searching for Josue in the river since last week.

Mr Kleine said he believed the little boy was alive when he was thrown into the river and that Josue was killed because he was a witness to his mother’s murder.

Roberto Martinez-Marinero is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, kidnapping and weapons offences.

Gabriela Guevara, 24, thought to be his girlfriend, has been arrested on charges of being an accessory to homicide.

They are expected to make initial court appearances on Tuesday.

An Amber Alert had been issued to try and find Josue, but was cancelled last Thursday after a vehicle was found abandoned in Omaha.

    1. When I was young I don’t recall hearing of someone killing their mother or sibling. Can’t imagine what the 5 year old thought in those last minutes with his mother and brothers. I hope he’s found soon to give the family (and Omaha) some closure.
