Eminem’s ‘drugs damaged’ face, The rapper appeared thinner than we’ve ever seen him and fairly tired as he took to the podium, so what exactly has caused the changes?
The 8 Mile star, who has publicly battled years of drug abuse, sparked concern when he made an appearance at the Innovator Of The Year Awards in New York City.
Standing on stage alongside Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, the 42-year-old was a shadow of his former self, looking gaunt and haggard in his black beanie hat.
Various reports and a number of fans have linked his changing face to the “ridiculous amount” of prescription pills his has taken in the past.
“Drugs damaged Eminem’s face,” one user wrote on Twitter.
While another added: “Eminem unwittingly becomes the face of the ‘Say No to Drugs Campaign’.”
Others commented on the amount of plastic surgery the rapper seems to have had, including a Michael Jackson-esque nose job.
“I’d say it’s more surgical…bad face lift,” someone tweeted.
Debating Slim Shady on Radio 1 this morning, Nick Grimshaw’s producer said: “We don’t know that he’s had plastic surgery,” to which Grimmy replied: “I do, ‘cos I’ve got eyes!”
Speaking on stage at the Awards yesterday, Eminem said: “Dre and Jimmy are like a force of nature.
“As an example of how powerful they are, they had me fly here all the way from Detroit to speak publicly, and I really hate public speaking.”
