Enigmatic Prince disappears from social media

It looks like Prince has had enough of social media.

Prince has deleted his Facebook and Twitter accounts and pulled all of his music from YouTube. The Prince Vevo account now only has three clips: the “Breakfast Can Wait” video, a behind-the-scenes piece on “Breakfast Can Wait,” and a short interview.

Prince had never been very active on Facebook, promoting a question and answer session during which he only answered one question, which appeared to be itself a set up.

There was now reason given for the sudden departure by the Purple One.

Last week, Prince released the lyric video for “FunkNRoll” – a song he debuted in March on The Arsenio Hall Show. “FunkNRoll” is featured on Prince’s Art Official Age and Prince & ThirdEyeGirl’s Plectrumelectrum, both of which landed in September.
