During last night’s Ask The Moms special, Maci Bookout addressed the reasons why original cast member Farrah Abraham will not be returning for the upcoming Teen Mom reboot.
Word on the street is that Farrah’s decision to make a sex tape with James Deen, produce a line of sex pleasure products, and become a stripper didn’t really jive with MTV’s vision for Teen Mom. What’s more, it was also reported that Cate, Maci, and Amber refused to participate in the show if Farrah was involved.
So, what really happened? Maci put things straight during MTV’s Ask the Moms special on October 6, saying “After we stopped filming Teen Mom, we all went in our own directions — kind of started our lives without cameras — and Farrah made some choices that didn’t really match with what the show was about.”
Maci also explained that ultimately, Farrah’s new lifestyle just didn’t mesh well with a show made for young teens. “If one of us is not making decisions that goes with our message, then it kind of takes away from what we’re trying to do in the first place,” Maci continued. “So, it wasn’t our choice to not have her on the show with us, but we wish her the best.”
Teen Mom just won’t be the same without Farrah lighting up the screen, but she’s been keeping herself busy by starting production on her new horror flick, Axeman 2: Overkill.
