Four people were injured in an explosion at the Nestlé Purina plant in Flagstaff late Sunday afternoon.
According to Flagstaff Fire Department captain Bill Morse, the four workers were operating welding equipment on the fifth floor of the seven-story grain elevator at about 4:30pm when the grain dust caught fire and exploded. Morse said the explosion blew out metal doors at the front of the grain elevator
One worker was airlifted with life-threatening burns to a local burn center and another was transported by ambulance to the same location with serious burns. The other two workers were taken to a local hospital.
