GARY Busey has been crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2014.
The actor scooped the top spot ahead of boxer Audley Harrison, who came second, and Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan, who placed third.
Speaking to Emma Willis after being crowned champion, Gary said: “It’s a feeling of surprise and honour.”
The Hollywood actor added that his win was “a tribute to my love of this country”.
After being named the first ever American winner, he declared his love for Britain: “I am a Brit.”
Gary “had no idea” what to expect from the house and revealed: “I’m a changed man.”
The star went on to say the experience made him realise things about himself he wasn’t previously aware of. “I didn’t think I was selfish, I didn’t think I was lazy,” he admitted.
Gary added that his highlight of his time in the house was: “Taking my trousers off!”
Speaking to Emma after coming second, Audley said: “I’m very happy.
“I said I’d be happy if I finished in the top three.”
When asked if he had a game plan going into the house, he replied: “My strategy was to be myself, because I’m a nice guy.”
Talking about James, he said: “He’s got a big personality”, and that eventually their competitiveness boiled over a few times.
Speaking about Gary, he added: “I understood him and I saw that he was trying to change. He was making adjustments all the time and no-one was giving him credit.”
