Girl Scout shot in drive-by? Sinai Miller returned home from the hospital Wednesday after being shot Tuesday evening as she was walking with her sisters to a Girl Scout meeting.
“I turned around to zip up their coats and put on their hats and that’s when I heard gun shots,” said Sinai’s mother, Shanita.
They were getting ready to sell Girl Scout cookies in their neighborhood.
Those plans changed when shots rang out. Two men in a blue SUV drove by and opened fire.
“She ran past me and said, ‘Mommy, mommy, mommy it hurts,'” said the girl’s mother.
The mother pulled up her daughter’s pants leg and there was blood everywhere.
Sinai is still on bed rest. Her doctors want her to wait a few days before trying to walk.
“I didn’t think that something like this would happen to my child right in front of my front door,” said Miller.
The girl’s family is in shock, calling the shooting just heartless and senseless.
The Millers hope someone cares enough to call police with tips.
“Please someone, you need to come forward. I am just so speechless,” said Miller.
