Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz has split from her actor boyfriend Michael Trevino after three years together.
The actress confirmed the split during an appearance at a film premiere in California when a photographer asked whether the couple is still together.
There’s no word yet on the cause of the breakup.
The 28-year-old actress and the 29-year-old actor began dating in 2011 and have remained private, only mentioning each other on social media from time to time. The pair first made their relationship public at the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards, according to US Weekly.
Then in January, the singer-actress celebrated Trevino’s birthday on Instagram with a photo of them at the said awards show.
“Happy birthday to my best friend, the one who has taught me how to laugh and love more and more every day,” Ushkowitz captioned the Instagram snapshot.
Trevino, on the other hand, mentioned Ushkowitz once when he promoted her book, “Choosing Glee,” in May 2013, according to E! News.
In November 2011, Ushkowitz and Trevino joined actress Emma Roberts for a risqué photo shoot with photographer Tyler Shields, in which the pair posed for several seductive shots.
Ushkowitz shared an Instagram image from the shoot three months ago.
Shields also posted the shoot on his Web site, where he wrote, “You can’t photoshop passion something about shooting a real couple that is so magical! Ever had a kiss in the rain?”
Meanwhile, Ushkowitz answered rumors that her Glee character, Tina Cohen-Chang, didn’t make the cut for New York.
“There’s a lot of Tina Cohen-Cheng coming up. She’s sort of figuring out where she’s going to go to school, if she’s going to go to New York or if she’s going to go somewhere else. She gets waitlisted at Brown [University], and so it’s going to be a little bit of a three-episode arc to see where she ends up,” Ushkowitz said, according Just Jared Jr.
