Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Sofia Vergara have been named the world’s highest paid TV actresses in a new Forbes list.
Both actresses earned US$28.5 million, or $40.57 million, for a single year on TV shows Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory, respectively. This is the fourth consecutive year Vergara has topped the list.
Completing the top five are Julie Bowen (US$12 million for Modern Family), Ellen Pompeo (US$11.5 million for Grey’s Anatomy) and Mariska Hargitay (US$11 million for Law & Order: SVU).
The total amount of earnings doesn’t include management fees or taxes and is calculated based on data from Nielson, IMDb and other sources, according to Forbes. They also use interviews with “agents, managers, lawyers, industry insiders and the stars themselves.”
