Hilary Duff has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Mike Comrie, according to new reports. The actress and singer is said to have cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split on court documents which were filed on 20 February.
[fwdevp preset_id=”8″ video_path=”ZOYz6EGmP_g”]According to TMZ, the Lizzie McGuire star, 27, has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She’s asked for sole custody of the couple’s almost-three-year-old son, Luca, with visitation rights for Comrie.
The divorce comes as somewhat of a surprise, as Duff and Comrie were spotted out together multiple times after their separation, engaging in what most would refer to as “PDA.”
At the time of their initial separation, Duff’s rep said of the former couple, “They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time.”
