A small German furniture store chain says it inadvertently ordered 5,000 coffee cups bearing a faint portrait of Adolf Hitler from China.
According to the report, this happened due to some manufacturing error and the company apologized for their mistake.
The company’s CEO recalled the offending cups, but 175 were sold to unsuspecting tea-drinkers before the factory fault was discovered.
However, he offered a 20 Euro gift certificate to anyone who returns the sold cups.
One buyer told local paper that she ‘could not believe her eyes’ when she noticed Hitler sitting on her breakfast table.
