In 2011, iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove was on a tour bus that crashed into an over-turned tractor trailer in Illnois, a crash that she is saying cost her around $2.5 million in losses.
The former iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove suffered a broken ankle when the tour bus she was traveling in smashed into an overturned tractor-trailer and she subsequently sued the driver for the injuries she and her mother sustained.
She had to cancel the rest of her tour due to the injuries, and new documents filed as part of the ongoing court battle reveal the singer/actress’ career came close to collapse after the accident.
The legal papers, obtained by TMZ.com, state Cosgrove lost nearly $400,000 by canceling the rest of her tour, as well as $560,000 in future shows. She was also dropped by record label bosses at Sony and lost a Neutrogena contract worth $400,000 . Editors at the website suggest she suffered total losses in the region of $2.5 million .
Cosgrove and her mother are reportedly seeking at least $50,000 each in damages.
