ISIS Attack Threats: Islamic State vows ‘Paris-like attacks’ in other cities

ISIS Issuing Attack Threats Against Paris, London.

A group linked to the Islamic State group, the international jihadist organization also known as ISIS that claimed responsibility for the March 22 attacks in Brussels that killed at least 34 people, has issued a threat to do the same in London, Berlin or Rome.

A video released by the extremist group shows video game footage of the Eiffel Tower collapsing along with images of the British Parliament and Rome’s Colosseum. Footage from past executions in the extremist group’s strongholds in Iraq and Syria is also included.

“If it was Paris yesterday, and today Brussels, Allah knows where it will be tomorrow. Maybe it will be in London or Berlin or Rome,” said a member of the group in fluent English, Reuters reported.

The militant group, better known as ISIS, claimed responsibility for three bombings last month that killed 31 people and wounded hundreds in Brussels. It also claimed responsibility for coordinated attacks last November that killed at least 130 people in Paris. Past attacks, including the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States, were referred to as a “cautionary message” in the latest video.

“Nations of the cross, this message is for you,” the apparent ISIS member said. “Know that your options are few, either you join Islam, or pay tribute, or freeze the war.”

The video was reportedly released by a group calling itself Al Wa’ad Media Production. It was unclear whether ISIS’ official propaganda wing was involved. The extremist group regularly releases videos threatening attacks against the West.

ISIS continues to control large swaths of Iraq and Syria, including major cities like Mosul and Raqqa. The group has lost much of its territory in recent months, including some 20 percent of land in Syria and 40 percent in Iraq, amid an intense U.S.-led airstrike campaign. The militants are battling the Iraqi military, Kurdish rebels, the Syrian regime and various other militant groups on the ground.
